Woohoo! Fall is Here!

I'm so happy Fall has arrived! I have been longing for cooler weather for what feels like forever! And look...my flowers are coming back. They are happy to see Summer gone too.

September is over and with it the insanity of the Federal Fiscal Buying Frenzy, which I detest beyond description.

October is here. The weather is cooler - even a little crisp the past two mornings. I am one happy girl!

We have had a fabulous weekend. Yesterday we went to the Manassas Fall Festival and enjoyed a whoopie pie and then we headed to Fredericksburg to continue the hunt for new dining room furniture. We've been looking the past three weekends and I think we finally found something that both of us like the looks of and the price! Since we were in Fredericksburg I had to fit in a visit to Scrapdoodles, a really great scrapbooking store. The hubby was good enough to drop me off there and let me go look around for a bit. On the way home we stopped at a roadside BBQ place and got some out of this world ribs! Their cold slow was also amazing. I am thinking about asking them to fix a beef brisket for Thanksgiving for us. We both agreed we would go all the way back to Fredericksburg to get their food! If you are driving along Rt. 3 near Plank Road - look for McCoy's BBQ on the side of the road - the people are so nice and the food is amazing. You won't be disappointed.

Sunday has been a day of chores and homework. I'm thoroughly enjoying school and I'm even happier now that busy season at work is over and I feel like I can devote 100% to school now. I've squeezed in a little creative time, but not much as my mid-term portfolio for English takes priority. I'm learning so much about writing and most importantly that drafts and revisions are a good thing...that a good paper or even good blog post is not something that happens on the first try.

Fall makes me feel rejuvenated. I just want to do more, be outside, take photos, I sleep better. It's just my very favorite time of year.

I have not been able to get to much fall decorating yet, but I'll work on that more this weekend.

I was able to get my fall door decoration up and I took a couple of pics outside. The tree in the front is already turning and it's just beautiful.

I hope you all have a fabulous week!
