September Rambling....

As an employee of a government contractor that sells to the Federal Government, to say September is busy is an understatement. 70% of my companies annual revenue is done in July, August and September. While most people are enjoying the summer, the Federal Government is gearing up for a purchasing frenzy that will come to a conclusion on September 30th. Hope you paid those taxes so the money can be spent with abandon!

This year is a little different for me in that I am also a college student. I wisely took only two classes this semester. I know that I have a tendency to get stressed out when my "to-do" list hits what is "critical mass" to me. First and foremost, I am loving school. I'm sure I won't love all my classes, but for now, I'm enjoying the classroom. I got my first grade, in English, an A. I was downright giddy.

Earlier this month I got to go to Wisconsin and scrap with a bunch of freakie women from Scrap Freak. Because it was September, I did not expect to get my days off approved, but I did, so I went. Getting off in September is NOT easy in my line of work.

I had a fabulous time! Simply fabulous. The ladies I spent time with were amazing. Cathy who picked me up at the airport and was my roommate was so much fun. We had been communicating for months via email and it was no surprise to me that we clicked even better in person! We had the best time. There was a LOT of laughing in this group....and lots of creating!

I didn't take very many pictures so I'm lifting a few from Scrap Freak - I am going to do a mini album of this trip....I want to do a page on everyone that was there. I hope I get to go next year.

The Gang

The crop organizer, Tamara, organizes this crop from Germany. She did a FANTABULOUS job! She also brought us all lots of yummy German treats.
There is just too much to capture in a single blog post...you just had to be there!

And just a little FYI - 9 more business days until September 30th....

Have a super week everyone!
