Good Weekend

The sun was shining - snow was melting....yay! Just like magic, sidewalks are reappearing, brown grass is showing....before we know it, the trees will be budding and we'll be complaining about allergies and pollen on our cars.
Had a bit of scrap mojo this weekend.....finished one page of a two page layout - (who knows, maybe I'll go finish the second page before the weekend is over). I found some pictures of my mother. She was with a large group of friends at the Hotel Peabody in Memphis, TN - during WWII. It was a great picture in the restaurant - everyone was smiling and laughing. The Hotel Peabody is still in existence today. I was reading some of the notes on the pictures and I found out her nickname was Oddie (her maiden name was Odum). There is so much I really never knew about my mother - she wasn't one to talk about her past. I do enjoy looking at the pictures of her during her military service - she really enjoyed that time.
We had lunch at Logan's Roadhouse today - an early birthday celebration with my son. As odd as it sounds - we gathered with my ex-husband, his wife and Rick's half sister, Colleen. All of us really do have a good time. My sweet boy will be 25 on Tuesday - my how fast time flies!
I was looking through some older layouts and I came across this one I did for a circle journal swap. I used BoBunny papers that I bought at Scrap-Central.org. I love Bo-Bunny papers. Go check out Kelly Jo's store - she has Basic Grey on sale at some great prices. I just ordered 4 different pkgs.

Had a hair appointment on Saturday. Nothing perks me up like fresh hair color and a cut. I'm going to start going lighter a little at a time and I'm letting my hair grow out just a bit.

Have a great week everyone!

I love your Fairy page. It is so much better than what I did. That was a hard one. I know what you mean about how fascinating your parents lives were before you came along. I love having the old photos to go through. The sad part is that my Dad remembers what happened, but he can't always remember the names of the people in the pictures.

Beautiful page! I agree with you on the hair.....I get so happy with a fresh cut! When it gets longer and out of shape...I am one unhappy camper!
