That I don't have PEPCO for my power company!
Some people in Maryland have been without power for days and it will be several more days before it's restored.
I'm thankful that I have Dominion Virginia Power and I have to say....we rarely lose power during storms.
I feel for those people who are losing food, have no AC in this heat and just the impact on daily life.

i often catch myself in mini-thankful moments - for electricity, indoor plumbing, sattelite tv... :)
I know what you mean. We were without electricity for a week and half after the tornado in 1999 and you cannot do anything. Everything in our lives requires electric power.
