Blizzard 2010

Well...I guess those snow dances I've been doing for the past 3 years finally paid off. Who would have thought that it would really work - I mean - REALLY work?

I can assure everyone, I have done my last snow dance. Snow...Schmo....

The first storm was magical and beautiful. Now...after this latest storm...it's just work. Lots and lots of work.

I did get a full day of work in on Friday as it didn't begin sticking until around 4 pm here in Gainesville. I even said - HA - if we are gonna get the accumulations they are predicting...it better start sticking soon. When will I learn to keep my mouth shut and quit challenging the snow gods?

Here are a few pics from this particular storm.

I want to go out for a walk today and capture some action shots.

We had an amazing dinner last night. An idea I got from my boss, Grilling in the Snow, has become our new tradition. So last night we had some absolutely perfect steaks, grilled by Rick, homemade garlic dill rolls made by the hubby and I baked the potatoes and steamed the broccoli. It was delicious!

And my sweet son informed me that I am not allowed to shovel snow. He's a good kid. I don't mind shoveling, so I may head out and do a bit this morning -...ssshhhhhh don't tell anyone.

Well it's coming to Chicago but I don't think we will be blessed with that amount and thank goodness. Stay warm and safe and enjoy the beauty of it!!
